Riddhi Vasoya

"Kabir khada bazaar mai, leta sabki khair, naa kisi se dosti, naa kisi se bair"-- Kabir Doha

Indian textiles and patterns have a strong influence (part, not influence) on Riddhi’s practice. Using printmaking as her primary medium of choice, Riddhi uses her artwork as a tool to communicate her observations about human behavior. She finds that we operate in predictable patterns. While people naturally prefer to coexist in groups, they all experience loneliness at various points of time and in different forms. Her works feature permutations of groups rendered in patterns that at times highlight individuality, and sometimes portray nameless crowds
