In his artworks, Yash portrays everyday phenomena that surround him. Born and raised in Ahmedabad, he is especially interested in the ‘Pol’ culture of the city. ‘Pol’ roughly translates to residential areas that the city is divided into. His works are best described as meticulous observations of cursory moments that stand still in a backdrop of wonted disarray. His compositions are colored with his perceptions and find beauty in details that the viewers normally fail to notice in their own experience of these mundane moments.
