Aauishi Beniwal’s work function under an overarching theme of ‘all the people I’ve ever lived with’, from the surfaces of the places she’s lived-in to her relationship with her father—and this overarching theme helps her bring all the preoccupations together.

She portrays two ideas of time through her work – one of time existing as an entity or a being and the other, of time, having a fluidic existence. Through her work she also seeks to find the socially acceptable notions of ‘normalcy’, to compare the familial conditions existing in the past and comparing those to situations that exist currently.

Aaiushi Beniwal has graduated from the Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Faculty of Fine Arts, with a Major in Painting. She has received the Kalpana Reddy Award for Photography in 2015. She is an active participant in photography workshops, art camps, and exhibitions.
