Sheshadev Sagria attempts to disentangle notions of the grotesque, from bodies discriminated against on their skin. Sheshadev’s interest in psychodermatology – an alternative mode of treatment of skin disorders focussing on the interaction between the mind and skin, leads to his representation of wounds, scabs, and deformations while addressing issues of segregation and exclusion.
